We published our first Children’s book

Here at +3K we first and foremost like to consider ourselves as storytellers. Being based in the beautiful Cumbria and having the Lake District as our playground has given us the most inspirational setting to tell stories that matter as well as to unearth and provide a creative outlet for local talent within our region.

Over the last year we have been working with local writer Jane Senior, a Mum of three who was born and raised in Carlisle. Like a twist of fate, Jane was the bearer of the story we had been looking for… a tale set in our glorious region about friendship, bravery and believing in yourself to achieve your dreams… values we hold dear here at +3K. But best of all, to top it all off the titular character was the ultimate Cumbrian. A Herdwick sheep called Patterdale Prewe.

We immediately saw the potential of Jane’s beloved story not just a book but as a short animated film. Combining the beautiful backdrop of the Lake District, it’s adorable creatures and some of the most important lessons we can learn, we got to work on our very first studio book.

With our team of talented creatives, we turned Jane’s beloved story into a reality which has already found its way into homes across Cumbria and the rest of the UK. Our goal is to reach 5,000 sales to fund Prewe being made into a animated TV series to spread messages of courage and determination while sharing the beauty of where we live.

To get your hands on your copy of Patterdale Prewe, and to continue to support our dream and the local talent of Cumbria, head over to our brand new Etsy store.
