Last year we had the pleasure of collaborating with the amazing team at Yardworks Glasgow and SWG3 on a creative youth project that transformed local street art into animation alongside some super creative students from two Glasgow primary schools, Pirie Park and St Patrick’s. ✨
Facilitated by Yardworks as part of Glasgow 850, the workshops explored creativity, placemaking, and youth voice – encouraging young people to see that they have real power to shape the environments and communities around them through art and imagination.
Using the murals and spaces within Yardworks as inspiration, the youngsters helped reimagine the yard in playful new ways through animation and storytelling (and even got to create some street art themselves!!)
Huge love to Yardworks for continuing to create meaningful opportunities for young people, championing creativity at grassroots level, and making space for communities to leave their mark on the city… and of course for letting us at PLUS3K do our favourite thing… help inspire these brilliant young minds and bringing it all to life through the power of animation!!! 🎬✨
